2020 New Donor Levels

What Level of Support do you want to belong in 2020?

Donors of the Friendship Center actively obey Matthew 25:35-40 to the surrounding MLK community, and greater Des Moines. This emerging group financially partners with the Friendship Center and is a voice within their larger communities as allies for the ministries of the center.

The basic structure of a Ministry Donor is that each member commits to an annual term of partnership in which they will receive our monthly newsletter, invited to exclusive events, receive a special gift, and will be expected to contribute monthly.

Each individual, Family, or Business Group contributing as a Ministry Providers Level and above will be recognized on the Friendship Center Donor Tree along with other recognitions published throughout the year.

Start your walk of Faith today at www.friendshipcenterdsm.org.
Seeds of Truth at $1.64 a day

Helping the Shepard at $13.70 a day

Thank you to our friends at Great Western Bank for sponsoring our Financial Peace University Class for the next four years.  Through your generosity, generations of lives will be impacted to help break the cycle of poverty, become good stewards of God’s money, learn to live on a budget and prepare for a brighter future.

Every June, the Friendship Center will offer F.P.U. to 10 individuals freely, while capping the class at 20 individuals overall. If you are interested in taking this class, please email Joe at ministry@friendshipcenterdsm.org.

Friendship Center Meal Train

You can sign up right now!

Hello there!

Thank you so much for considering us! We are excited for this opportunity to meet you and have you serve our community. This is a great ministry for families, friends, neighborhoods, small groups, or sports teams. Anyone is welcome to serve with us! The Friendship Center is a faith based non profit community center. We are located in the heart of Des Moines, More specifically the Martin Luther King area. We offer many programs for our “friends” and community, from education, to fiances and more. The Friendship Center serves over 3,000 “friends” each year. All while sharing the good news of Jesus to Iowa.

One of our biggest ministries always in need is our meal programs. This is a great way to serve without a long term commitment. You can make this ministry fit into your schedule or season. We serve four meals to our community, newborns to elderly. No one is ever turned away.

“I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in.” Matthew 25:35

Meal times-

Monday- Dinner for the Youth Group at 4 pm (average 25)

Tuesday- Breakfast for the Community (average 30) at 9 am and Dinner for Kids Club (average 20) at 4 pm

Thursday- Dinner for Kids Club (average 20) at 4 pm

You are always welcome to use our full service kitchen. If you can not make it, we can serve your pre-made meal for you too.

We understand that sometimes cooking for that many people may be overwhelming, Listed here are some ideas.

* Bring a frozen meal and drop it off before, or meal prep a frozen meal to fill in when we have open spots.

* Order food to be delivered to the Center

* Pizza

* Breakfast for dinner

* Pastas

* Anything in a crock pot

* Soup

* Casseroles

* Easy kids meals ( Mac n cheese, chicken nuggets, cold meat sandwiches, hot dogs)

* Anything to be grilled in the warmer months (We have a grill on site!)

Listed below are the dates available. If you have any questions please reach out to me Ashton Haines at ashtonkempfhaines@gmail.com or my cell (515) 381-8618. We are so thankful for your partnership in loving and serving God’s people.
